Tyra Banks hits the top slot on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid women in prime-time TV

Given a choice, I would love to switch places with Tyra Banks. The reason being she is stunning, a top model, and also tops Forbes’ list of the highest-paid women in prime-time TV. Keeping her modeling career on hold and in the interim invading the silver screen with her daytime talk show, “The Tyra Banks Show” has indisputably worked in her favor. She also juggles the roles of a judge and producer on “America’s Next Top Model”. While donning so many hats she in reality made around $23 million from June 1, 2007, to June 1, 2008, catapulting her to the numero uno position. Fellow catwalk queen Heidi Klum comes 2nd on the list taking in a reported $14 million earning from her role as host of “Project Runway,” her renewed Victoria’s Secret contract, designing deals, and a number of advertising campaigns. TV actress Katherine Heigl, best known for her role as Izzie Stevens on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy stands third with an income of $13 million.

Desperate housewife Eva Longoria is in the fourth position with a fortune of $9 million. Maura Tierney stands in the middle at number 5 with $7.5 million in her kitty. She is given close competition by Mariska Hargitay with $6.5 million. While Marg Helgenberger is seventh with $6 million, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Paula Abdul stand 8th and 9th respectively with $5 million. Last but still very rich is Tina Fey with her very own $4.6 million. Congratulations to the lovely ladies for making it this big!
