Victoria Beckham, who recently signed up as the guest editor for Glamour magazine’s September issue, has a new venture up to her sleeves. She is launching a new range of optical frames in partnership with Cutler & Gross. This was the only logical next step after having designed sunglasses in the past. The designer, who is near-sighted herself, had been putting off optical glasses for a long time as she could not find one that suited her face. Her collection includes six pieces, each of which come in three colorways, and the overall palette comprises black, tortoise, topaz, yellow, and forest green.
The frames’ ends are adorned with a refined, diamond faceted “V” and contain elements such as sepia-stained coloring, horn, pearl oyster interior lining, and tortoiseshell. The silhouette profile is pretty interesting, too- delicate styles such as superlight metal aviators to heavier, acetate rectangular shapes. Each of the frames is priced at $410 each and will debut at Silmo Paris on Oct 4.
