Diamond studded Christmas Bauble is world’s most expensive Christmas decoration

For all those who wish to give their Christmas tree a glam and luxurious touch, here is the most exquisite and also the most expensive piece of decoration for your tree. Hallmark Jewelers has created the world’s most expensive Christmas bauble, worth a whopping £82,000 ($136,000)! The unique bauble is made of 18-carat white gold and is encrusted with thousands of shimmering diamonds! Furthermore, it is surrounded by two incredible red ruby-studded (188 rubies to be precise) rings! The bauble, which is expected to be unveiled tonight, is being kept in a steel-framed case surrounded by 6mm thick laminated glass in Titchfield, Hampshire.

The exquisite bauble conceived by Mark Hussey (owner of Hallmark Jewelers) took all year to design and make. The bauble features a snowflake-cut pattern among a hallmarked 18-carat white gold sphere, hand paves set with 1 578 diamonds. Three one carat diamonds adorn the decoration’s center band, making this bauble a jewel of sorts. The intricately designed (over 130 hours were spent setting up the gems) bauble resides in a bespoke handmade wooden box complete with a stand.
What is more, this diamond-studded bauble might even find a place in the Guinness World Records! A fascinating piece, I wonder whose tree will glitter with this expensive jewel.
