London-based luxury label Burberry with distinctive British sensibility, strong international recognition forayed into cosmetics last year. Christopher Bailey is working with Burberry Make-Up Artistic Consultant Wendy Rowe to create a new beauty capsule embodying the spirit of the season.
Working from the collection’s mix of “English lace, super-light knits and sparkling gemstones,” embodies the English rose line. Luminescent shades of rose pink and sage green reflect the runway palette, presented in a spectrum of textures. Key features include natural skin tones, nude lips and rose shades for the eyes. Lashes are left bare; naturally groomed brows complete the look. The product line-up includes new eye palettes in powdery soft pastels, crystalline lip glosses, and nail polishes inspired by Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2014 ready-to-wear and accessories collections. The campaign shots feature regular Burberry stars Jourdan Dunn and Edie Campbell showing off the look perfectly.
The new shades are available now online and at selected Burberry stores and retailers. Prices start at Rs. 1,500 for the eye-defining pen, rising to Rs. 4,250 for the complete eye palette.
