Mercedes-Benz launches the new ‘Edition C’ in India

Mercedes Benz India has launched the Celebration Edition of its C-Class sedan in the country. The German Automaker introduced the sporty and stylish ‘Edition C’ in India to celebrate the sale of 10 million cars of the C-Class family world over.

The Celebration Edition is based on the very popular C 220 CDI. The changes though are merely cosmetic. ‘Edition C’ is equipped with a 4 cylinder diesel engine with 7G-tronic plus automatic transmission, which enables reduced fuel consumption while delivering high output and torque for unmatched driving pleasure. The exteriors get an upgrade owing to the AMG kitting that includes the revised bumpers, side skirts, smoked lamps and new alloys. The car gets Alcantara and leather with blue stitching in contrast. The dashboard looks sportier with silver inserts rather than the wood detailing. The C-Class remains one of Mercedes-Benz’s best-sellers in the competitive entry-level luxury sedan segment. To celebrate the success of the C-Class, which sold more than 10 million units globally, the company is launching the Edition C for our Indian customers.

The Mercedes-Benz Edition C is priced at Rs. 39.16 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai. A limited number of 500 units of the Edition C will be available for the Indian market. The all-new C-Class is expected to debut sometime later next year or in early 2015.
