German automobile manufacture Mercedes-Benz introduced the latest version of its S-Class luxury sedan in the country. One of the most awaited cars of 2014, the all new S Class take the uber-luxury battle to a whole new level.
The new luxury sedan is powered by a 4.6 litre V8 engine, which is mated to a seven speed automatic transmission. The sedan can accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km per hour. Internally, the vehicle comes with a slew of features such as “mobile office” which offers folding tables, individual entertainment systems, 12 V power sockets and wireless hot spot.The vehicle also has an Android based smart phone touch application that controls car’s massage functions, seat heating and multimedia. There is not a single light bulb on this car. Instead, Mercedes has used only LEDs in its lighting systems.
The driver’s seat is infinitely adjustable and all the passengers too can find their right travelling position and use six different 15 minute massage settings while they are at it. The S500 is equipped with a 24 speaker 1540 Watt Burmester 3D surround sound system. Mercedes has a radar system that analyses road conditions and adjusts damper settings for a magic carpet ride. Unfortunately, due to certain laws, radar system is not permitted in India. But, overall the new S class certainly defines luxury.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all-new S-Class today in India at Rs 1.57 Crore ex-showroom Delhi. The new S-Class will be available in only one trim at the launch, the S500.
