Ace designer Philippe Starck unveils enticing debut range of fragrances

For some, creativity knows no bounds and synonymous to this lot is famed French designer, Philippe Starck. Working his excellence on architectural creations, utility products and other consumer goods for years, Starck recently extended his creativity to a new fragrance line conceptualized, curated and designed by the legend himself.

Debuting in the world of fragrances, Strack’s perfumes will offer a mystical blend of smells rightly described as the smell of “elsewhere”. The fragrance line will comprise of three scents labelled -‘Peau de Soie,’ ‘Peau de A’llieurs,’ and the ‘Peau de Pierre’ and each of them will be housed in unique bottles that flaunt an abstract shaped motif. The perfumes truly depict the maverick designer’s philosophy of mysticism and charm which can also be seen in its unique (slightly eccentric) outer design.

Starck’s perfume collection is part of the designer’s deal with Perfumes y Diseño Group signed way back in September, 2013 and is finally unveiled after four years of meticulous effort and creative brain storming. Though this maybe the designer’s first stint with producing scents, he has earlier loaned his creativity in designing perfume bottles such as the metal plated kissing doves for the anniversary editions for L’Air du Temps. The fragrance line will be launched at the Neiman Marcus this fall and is much awaited worldwide as any of Starck’s creations. Though not much is disclosed on the pricing, getting a piece of Phillippe Starck’s creatives in your stash will surely be a full worth of your monies!
