When it comes to Agent Provocateur adverts, we’re used to glitz, glamor and unbridled, unapologetic sex appeal; but for their new Fall 2016 campaign, the brand has taken a more restrained approach. Starring Australian model Abby Lee Kershaw, these images are definitely sexy, but in a sophisticated, almost stripped-down way. If Agent Provocateur’s usual campaigns are high voltage pop songs, this one is a simple acoustic single.
In these pictures, Kershaw plays the modern muse to Mario Sorrenti, who shot the campaign. The photographer wanted the images to highlight modern women’s needs, lifestyle, work, rest, and playtime. Shot in black and white, the images are realistic and lacking the sense of theme that usually characterizes the brand.
The collection itself is dark and lacey with floral designs, mesh details, and a sense of refinement. It’s not a no-frills collection by any means, but it’s definitely much less over the top than previous designs. With her simple makeup and hair, Kershaw seems to embody the carefree simplicity of the collection perfectly.
Our favorites here are definitely the beautifully detailed corset and the mesh lingerie set. Both items feel super sexy, but sophisticated too.
