Alber Elbaz teams up with Tod’s for exclusive capsule collection

After successfully helming the Parisian House of Lanvin for 14 years, Alber Elbaz has joined forces with Tod’s for an exclusive capsule collection. Conceived with an aim to combine the creative aesthetics of the designer with the brand’s signature ethos, the ensemble will include leather goods and shoes crafted with sheer perfection.

Christened as “Tod’s Happy Moments by Alber Elbaz”, the collection is part of the ‘Factory’ series of capsule collections that will see the brand collaborate with artists and designers from across the globe till the end of the year. Elbaz’s collection will include the maverick’s exclusive take on Tod’s classic shoe making style along with exclusive additions to its line of bags. In introducing its partnership with the designer, the brand has also unveiled a playful video showcasing her and a group of friends dancing joyfully on its official Instagram account earlier this week.

Commenting on the exclusive capsule, Elbaz in a statement said, “I tried with this collaboration to create an Instagram moment and to create a buzz, but it was more about finding the mix between the ideas and the desires of people right now”. She further added, I don’t design for the markets, I design for people.” The “Tod’s Happy Moments by Alber Elbaz” will officially release on July 10.
