AMG Retro Collection from Mercedes-Benz Accessories marks 45th anniversary

Decades ago, on the 1st of June 1967 to be precise, Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, both engineers of Mercedes Benz, formed the AMG Motorenbau und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (AMG Engine Production and Development, Ltd.) and a few years later, in 1971, managed to win the second place at the 24-hour race in Spa-Francorchamps with the 300 SEL 6.8. To commemorate these game-changing occasions, AMG Retro Edition from Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH was recently unveiled. The line includes a classic white polo shirt with a red highlighting theme complete with the date 1971 and the 300 SEL 6.8’s number “35”. Also included in the line is a similarly themed cap with the older AMG logo, the date, and the car’s number emblazoned with the legend “Founded in 1967”.
