Bagir and ElekTex introduce the iPod suit

When technology marries fashion the results are sometimes impressive or at the most weird. I don’t know how to react to the news that tailoring giants Bagir and ElekTex, maker of touch-sensitive smart fabrics, have come out with the iPod suit for men. The Bagir suit jacket integrates Eleksen’s ElekTex smart fabric touch pad technology, which transforms a lapel into a 5-button electronic control panel. The iPod Suit is claimed to be fashionable and functional (if functional means having music in your inside pocket). It’s machine-washable and wrinkle-resistant, so ideal for day-to-day use in the office. How practical this actually is, has yet to be seen. Though how much dependent or addicted you are to your iPod will be the deciding factor.

The iPod Suit will be available in five styles and should be in the shops from November, with a reasonable retail price of $280/
