The silver screen has given us some unforgettable fashion moments, from Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress and pearls combo in Breakfast at Tiffany’s to Alicia Silverstone’s iconic yellow plaid skirt suit in Clueless, some of the world’s most iconic trends were created by movies. In 1980, Lauren Hutton probably had no idea that the intrecciato clutch by Bottega Veneta that was on her arm in the movie American Gigolò would cause such a stir.
Now, decades later, the brand brought back that iconic clutch christened “The Lauren 1980” for their Spring/Summer 2017 runway show. At the show Hutton herself carried the bag down the runway in the same red shade as the one that was featured in the movie. The name of the shade? Gigolo Red of course! The special re-edition of the clutch will be available exclusively in this fiery hue. On the inside is a tag engraved with the bag’s name “The Lauren 1980”.
