Bugatti rolls out the ‘Blue Carpet’ in Milan to unveil its first collection of menswear and accessories


Red carpets are so passé. Blue carpets are ‘it’! Or so proved Bugatti, when the prestigious automobile manufacturer went blue for its latest menswear and accessories unveiling. Christened “The Magic of La Vie en Bleu,” the exclusive event saw the distinctive color of the Bugatti brand as its theme along with several celebrities at the historic house museum of the 19th century poet and author Alessandro Manzoni.

The occasion was hosted in cooperation with L’Uomo Vogue, whose Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani along with Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. President Wolfgang Schreiber, welcomed the illustrious guests, including actor Stephen Dorff, Anna Dello Russo, Gaia Trussardi, Dean and Dan Caten, Leonardo Ferragamo, Moncler Chairman Remo Ruffini and the President of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion Mario Boselli.

These names, among many others witnessed the spectacular presentation of the brand’s first complete collection of clothing and accessories for men for autumn/winter 2014-15. The collection bears the logo of legendary carmaker Molsheim and ardently represents the label’s 100-year old heritage along with the futuristic vision of its founder, Ettore Bugatti. Naturally, it will be sold in the most important international markets through flagship stores in world capitals besides exclusive Bugatti boutiques.

To give you a preview of what’s to come, The Bugatti Fall/Winter Collection comprises of the sophisticated EB or Ettore Bugatti line, a result of processing performed entirely in Italy. It utilizes the finest fabrics from Biella, besides its Bugatti genes. While the latter may be known and understood by stylish all, you’d be surprised to see how well these genes metamorphose into silk velvet formalwear tailored with absolute classy ease.

Take for instance, this tuxedo from the capsule collection called The Bugatti Blue Carpet Soirée. Featuring silk blending with patterned jacquard silk velvet, it comes in various tones of the Blue, all creatively in line with the brand’s design philosophy. Then there is the Bugatti Extreme Performance outdoor line, which blends sportswear with chic by combining high-tech treatments and processes with the most luxurious materials to cruise through all kinds of stress, much like the automobile.
