Two new launches from the house of Burberry grace their Prorsum menswear Spring/Summer 2014 show – the Britain Bright Limited Edition watch and the Wave sunglasses collection. A first among watch brands, the Britain Bright Limited Edition watch by Burberry is a full resin watch with tonal colored case, bracelet and glass. It is an automatic 43mm Swiss-made timepiece, that has borrowed its palette from the runway collection. The watch is a three-piece construction by Christopher Bailey, limited to only 10 pieces, which has a sculpted curved case back and tonal colored glass case back for insight into the movement. Its features include three-hand movement with date function, rotor with circular Geneva Stripes finishing, and engraved with the Burberry logo in black. The watch has 32 components, is water resistant up to 50 meters, has a resin bracelet for a strap, and deployant buckle with pushers. One can also personalize this watch with their initials engraved onto the rotor as part of the Runway Made to Order initiative.
On the other hand, the Wave collection consists of sunglasses sporting square frames with brow detailing, which include two variations – Burberry Wave Clear and the Burberry Wave Dot sunglasses. The palette of vibrant, bright colors used for the sunglasses has been drawn to suit the runway collection in fluorescent turquoise, fluorescent red, fluorescent yellow, Windsor red, pigment green, indigo, and antique yellow. The sunglasses come in either translucid quality or black dot pattern, marking distinctions between its variatants. You can purchasethe Wave collection for £179 ($280) and personalize the sunglasses on Burberry.com for one week following the Burberry Prorsum menswear spring/summer 2014 show, during which delivery would be done in a matter of eight weeks. For the first time, eyewear features as part of Burberry’s Runway Made to Order initiative. Initials can be foil-stamped in nickel silver inside the temple. The collection would be available from the brand’s website, its stores and select retail outlets worldwide from February 2014.
