High-end British luxury brand – Burberry seems too particular about the site it sits on. We’ve already seen their second largest store in America come up in Chicago. The brand is known to have jumped at the first opportunity it got to lease out space on the iconic retail stretch – Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills California. Not wasting time, Burberry has already gotten down to blueprints and designs for its new flagship store, which its plans to open by the end of 2014. This would, of course, result in pulling shutters on its Wilshire Boulevard store.
With most of the brand’s stores undergoing a digital revolution, all thanks to the Burberry Creative Chief, Christopher Bailey’s brainchild – “Burberry World Live,” the Rodeo store would be no exception. Taking the same route, the store would incorporate a high-tech digital and interactive experience taking the form of over 100 screens and surround sound speakers giving its customers a virtual tour of the latest runway collections, live Burberry events from around the globe, videos, and more. This also gives customers the liberty of viewing and ordering collections right from the screens!
Recently opened Burberry stores in Chicago, Taiwan, and Hong Kong have also gone digitally “Live.”
