Jimmy Choo connoisseurs are in for a treat! In contributing to a social cause and providing impetus to its fans, the brand has recently launched an exclusive shoe collection that is entirely designed by its ardent followers. Yes, that’s right!
The marquee had earlier announced the Choo Sketch design contest, where its followers created and sent the brand their own designs. Following the same, it has now released five winning styles as part of the Choo Sketch Collection capsule.
The novel collection embodies Choo’s signature glamour and elegance, with proceeds from the shoes’ sales to be donated to the Jimmy Choo Foundation’s partner, Women for Women International, which helps women survivors of war rebuild their lives.
Commenting on the collection, creative director Sandra Choi said, “It was difficult to shortlist the number of submissions down to just 10, but each of the finalists had created a design which really resonated with me, and I’m thrilled to be supporting Women for Women International and the incredible work they do helping transform the lives of women survivors of conflict.”
The ensemble includes the sparkling Broom pumps by Hong Kong designer Joyce Fung, Nathan Scalzo’s Wisteria pumps, opulent Nia mules designed by Pia Tan-Ramirez, and the architecture-inspired Blossom in Your Choos sandals, made by Romanian designer Valentina Badeanu. The Choo Sketch capsule collection is currently available online on the brand’s official website.
