Cunard traverses fashion extravagance on Queen Mary 2 with its first ever transatlantic fashion week

For fashion connoisseurs who wish to experience the best of fashion that encompasses an entire ocean (quite literally), booking yourselves a voyage on Cunard’s luxury ocean liner would be just the thing to do. In an endeavor to bring the fashion royalty together on an exciting luxury cruise, Cunard is ready to host its first-ever transatlantic fashion week onboard its iconic Queen Mary 2.

The luxury sail that takes off from the port at Southampton up till New York on September 1, provides a rich culmination of luxury and fine dining along with a seven-day long fashion extravaganza. While celebrated fashion design, Dame Zandra Rhodes (who has styled celebrities like Freddie Mercury, Jackie Onassis, and former Cunard passenger Elizabeth Taylor) will showcase her collection on the Queen Mary 2, the transatlantic fashion week will also host fashion from Royal College of Art’s 2016 graduates- Niels Gundtoft Hansen, Stefanie Tschirky, Sophie Schmidt, Oksana Ani and Laetitia Berthier, each of whom presents a unique take on fashion with their fresh yet refined fashion pallets.

Along with the budding fashion designers, the cruise will also serve as a platform for some of the best-emerging faces from one of London’s revolutionary modeling agencies, Storm. The fashion ado will be graced by fashion historian and style commentator Colin McDowell MBE and New York Fashion Week Founder Fern Mallis with a series of inspirational talks during the voyage. As Queen Mary 2 marks 176 years of elegance and heritage, the transatlantic fashion week will rightly reflect on the same lines by providing guests an unparalleled fashion experience within a luxurious art-inspired décor. If you crave to combine the pleasures of high sea cruising with a dose of fashion, Cunard’s next voyage might be something you would like to keep on your radar!
