Pucci is taking the artistic prints that mad them famous to a new canvas. The Italian label’s exotic and sometimes psychedelic prints are usually splashed across maxi dresses, scarves and other resort wear but soon you’ll be seeing them on a series of limited edition skateboards.
The skateboards were debuted in a short film created in association with Nowness which features model Martha-Rose Redding. The skateboard collection has been designed by a group of from the University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL). The students were given access to the Pucci archives and then asked to interpret the brand’s DNA into their skateboard designs.
The winning designs were by Clémence Chatel, whose “Dolce Vita” series explored Italian culture through prints that incorporated ice creams and pasta. The skateboards are available in two styles: Street, which is suitable for performing stunts and tricks and Cruiser with large wheels for everyday use. The collection is available at emiliopucci.com.
