Diamonds, gold and crocodile skin – #167 handbag from Asprey’s private collection

Scouting for some precious new arm candy, our eyes happened to come across the Asprey 167 in mahogany, and we knew we had found the one. An embodiment of chic and grandiose style, the Mahogany polished handbag, which also doubles as a cross-body, has a structured outline, made of firm crocodile leather. The bag has 18K gold fixtures of a clasp lock, bolts, and strap buckles. The 18K gold however, is just one part of the lavish façade – the front flap and clasp lock is also embellished with cognac diamonds. Are you drooling yet?

Asprey, the British luxury goods house that designs, manufactures and sells an assortment of stuff, such as jewelry, silver ware, leather goods and even polo equipment, has for the last couple of years, been creating a private collection every year for their crème de la crème customers. What makes these bags so special is that they’re available for purchase on invitation only. We don’t know if this gorgeous piece that comes delivered in a pearl grey box also requires an invitation, but considering that it’s available at Moda Operandi we think not. Though, if you do like it, you’re going to have to cough up exactly $114,000 (approx. £74,000); obviously opulence that has sparkly diamonds and gold on it would not come cheap!
