Known for her on trend street style and red carpet looks, Diane Kruger has long been on our list of fashion icons for a while now so it’s no surprise to us that the National Treasure star has turned her hand to design. The actress has created a handbag in collaboration with designer Jason Wu. Titled the Diane Bag the bag features a structured shape and minimal design. It comes in calf leather as well as python and crocodile skin and is available in numerous colors. Simple gold hardware lends the finishing touch to the chic cross body bag.
Explaining the design concept Kruger said, “Jason asked me what the most important things were to me in a bag. I said that I wanted to be able to wear it across the body and to be able to open and close it with one hand. I can’t stand having to put my bag down or use both hands to close it while running errands. I was hoping for a timeless and understated bag, one you notice because of its beautiful leather and simplicity. I think Jason delivered on all of those desires. It’s a bag for all ages and for every day—so chic.”
Wu called Diane’s style “refined, feminine, and timeless,” qualities that he sought to recreate in the bag. No word as yet on when the Diane bag will be available for purchase.
