Rimowa seems to be on a collaboration spree off late. After joining forces with SkyHour for an experiential suitcase ensemble and later with Fendi for an exclusive collection, the renowned luggage manufacturer is now set to team up with Dior for yet another of its classic collections. The collaboration is brought in place for the upcoming Spring 2020 runway show and is expected to be a show stealer in more ways than one.

For SS20, @dior's Men's collection helmed by @mrkimjones presented an elegant range of garments inspired by the art gallery Christian Dior ran before creating the fashion house. Within the @danielarsham designed venue, models walked the runway sporting @rimowa x @dior collaborative luggage, tailored suits, jewelry, and new footwear. The uber chic Dior x Rimowa collection will entail a series of clutches, shoulder bags, and full-sized luggage. The pieces feature all-over Dior print across the signature hard-case silhouette along with a metal co-branded label. The luggage is also adorned with durable bumpers on each corner that are perfectly complimented by the heavy-duty clasps for better functionality.
Commenting on the collaboration, Rimowa CEO Alexandre Arnault in a statement said, “I like, because I travel all the time, functional pieces that are easy to navigate; not just the suitcase that you pack for the plane, but things that you can use in different places,” He further added, “I envisioned it very much how it would look on the runway and what kind of things we could put on the runway.” Last month, Rimowa had independently tied-up with Kim Jones – Dior Men Creative Director for the brand’s recent global campaign and the new monogram collection is believed to be a creative extension to their existing relationship. We need more of such creative collabs, please!
