Most of us are pretty familiar with Fabergé eggs, egg-shaped jewel-encrusted pieces of ornaments created by the House of Fabergé, a jewelry firm that has etched a mark particularly in the history of Russia. Now, the historic jeweler will soon swing open the doors of its first boutique at 694 Madison Avenue in New York, marking the brand’s first location in the United States. The Fabergé boutique will occupy an 850-square-foot, ground-floor selling space, and a 500-square-foot basement. Also, the jewelry house will host special “by appointment” previews in the city from 28th November 2011 until 30th December 2011. With the boutique scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2012, New Yorkers will now have a closer look at true Russian jewelry and its luxuries.
