Fashion’s original It-Girl Diana Vreeland is commemorated with a range of perfumes

Known for her quotable quotes and modern ideas about fashion, Diana Vreeland continues to be one of the most well-known names in fashion even 20 odd years after her passing. Having been a columnist and fashion editor for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she later took on the role of editor-in-chief at Vogue magazine. Now her grandson Alexander is paying tribute to the original Fashion-Girl with a collection of perfumes named after some of her more famous quotes.

The five piece collection includes:

diana-vreeland-perfumes-absolutely-vital“Absolutely Vital” – A woody scent with a base of Indian sandalwood and Turkish rose created by perfumer Yves Cassar.

diana-vreeland-perfumes-perfectly-marvelous“Perfectly Marvelous” – A jasmine-based fragrance with notes of red sandalwood pimento created by Celine Barel.

And finally, “Outrageously Vibrant”- A fruity perfume that combines a rose bouquet and patchouli with a hint of crème de cassis.

diana-vreeland-2Each scent is unique and uplifting and the beautiful bottles are no less so. Designed in a style reminiscent of art deco opulence and rendered in varying shades of pinks and reds, each bottle sports a tassel around the neck and Vreeland’s initials on the cap.

The perfumes will launch on the 21st at Selfridges in the UK and at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the US. The perfumes will be available in two sizes: 100ml retailing for £180, (approx $300) and 50ml priced at £135 (approx $230).
