Known for their quirky capsule collections by Karl Lagerfeld and their modern Italian aesthetic, Fendi is now whetting appetites through a new collaboration with FILA. Together the two brands have created a limited-edition collection of apparel and accessories for women and men.
Some might already have noticed the women’s pieces on the FENDI Fall/Winter 2018-2019 runway during the Milan Fashion Week. Items like bags and t-shirts featuring FILA’s iconic “F” fused with the FENDI Roma logo. The logo mash-up was first created by an artist who goes by @hey_reilly on Instagram.
Fendi decided to take the idea and run with it and you’ll now find that logo splashed across ready-to-wear and accessories. The Fendi x Fila capsule collection will be available from August 2018, exclusively in select FENDI points of sale and on the FENDI e-commerce site.
It’s pretty interesting to see how Instagram art actually makes its way to the runway of Milan Fashion Week. We’ll be waiting to see what’s next for @hey_reilly.
