Fendi’s largest show in Asia is condemned for fur in Seoul

We love fashion, but we hate fur. Not too long ago when we mentioned Fendi’s made-to-order fur experience, we were not pleased and expressed our disappointment. Seoul got a taste of Fendi’s fur frenzy when its Metropolitan Government unveiled its 2011 fall-winter fashion collection, albeit with a lot of commotion. Anti-fur activists gave them a tough time forcing some fur to be stripped off the show. This was part of the celebrations to welcome the culture centre in Seoul’s man-made Floating Island. The show was brought to Seoul because of Asia’s current fascination for high street fashion. However, around 90 protesters, including school children and women, made the show ugly when they displayed their disappointment about Fendi’s fur fascination. If the brand wants to keep all its loyal customers intact, maybe it is about time they changed their materials choice.
