If you’re looking for some funky eyewear, Balenciaga has got you covered! The marquee recently re-launched its most quirky accessory to date – a pair of light-up sunglasses, first introduced at its Spring/Summer 2020 runway show.
Designed to combine a sleek new style with the brand’s pledge to utilizing technology in innovative ways, the bold, rectangular frame features thick, tapering arms containing a lightweight LED system that illuminates the Balenciaga logo.
The logo lights up when the frame is fully extended or tapped on three times. Similarly, it shuts off when the arms are closed or are placed upside down and tapped on three times. The Balenciaga signage shines in multiple hues and can either blink, remain static, or fade from one color to another, in blue, red, green, purple, yellow, and white.

The fancy frame is further fitted with an internal battery that can be charged with a USB cable. It is a snug accessory to own and a perfect ode to the 90s era where light-up sneakers and flashy accessories ruled the fashion scene.
Coming to shelves, courtesy of the enviable aesthetic of the brand’s creative director Demna Gvasalia, the Balenciaga LED sunglasses are the most eye-catchy accessory of the season (so far) in our opinion. Fancy buying a pair of this beauty?
