Forget who bit Beyonce! We want to know who customized Bey’s Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons bag!

If the word “Beychella” didn’t penetrate your world this past weekend, then we have good news: your social media cleanse is working. But eagle eyed Beyonce fans might have noticed that Virgil Abloh – newly crowned creative doctor at Louis Vuitton and designer behind the brand Off-White – briefly shared an image of a modified Jeff Koons x Louis Vuitton bag on his Instagram over the weekend.

The bag is a Monet inspired duffle from the Masters collection and it clearly featured the words “King Bey” and “444”on the cross body strap. Virgil was quick to delete the picture from his own Instagram (though not before it was screencapped) but Beyonce is seen in on her own account holding the bag in a picture from months ago. This means that if Abloh did indeed customize the bag for her, it was probably before he stepped in at LV.

On the other hand, Jeff Koons has worked with Jay-Z in the past and is probably friends with the power couple, so it’s also likely that he made the bag (since it was his collab) and Virgil simply posted a picture out of admiration and deleted it when he realized that people may think it’s his work.

We’re only speculating of course, but no matter who gave Bey the bag, I wish they had thought to match the strap to the collection. Beyonce’s custom strap is brown in the monogram print while all the Monet bags in the Masters collection feature bright blue straps.
