Gwyneth Paltrow is the undisputed queen of holiday gifting, questionable baby names and “conscious uncoupling” but she’s caught our attention thanks to the announcement that her lifestyle brand Goop will be launching a pop up shop in New York City from November 23 to December 24. Named the New York Goop Mrkt, the pop up is located at the Time Warner Center and will feature must have brands including Carven, Stella McCartney, Juice Beauty and also an exclusive collection created by Goop in collaboration with Valentino.
The 25 piece collection is inspired by Wonder Woman as Paltrow loved the superhero TV show while growing up. “To me, it’s a fantastic and resonant idea,” Gwyneth told the New York Times, “because everybody is working, having kids, trying not to miss a soccer game while at the same time being on a conference call. The modern woman is a wonder woman.”
On December 2, Gwyneth and Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative duo behind Valentino will also host an in-store event and dinner at the pop up.
