Riding horses is probably one of the things most of us associate not just with the luxury-indulgent wealthy and classy people, but it’s a sport or a pass time with a more royal feel to it. And to feel royal, you need to dress for the role well, too. While Hermes boasts of a healthy “equestrian collection” to woo classy crowds, Gucci is nowhere behind in the scene. In fact, in the early ’30s, Gucci boasted of several horse-riding aristocrats clients that egged the brand to keep riding gear handy, which has become a statement of sorts for the fashion house. Reviving those traditional bonds, Gucci has now sponsoring horse events, dubbed the Gucci Masters Paris, and some noted riders after staying off the arena for a massive 20 years. And to fit the occasion, the fashion house has also unveiled a high-profile “equestrian collection.”
The collection features “iconic Gucci red and green stripes, horse bit logo and elegant Gucci crest.” Consisting of riding jackets, jodhpurs, boots, and other essential gear for women, the attention to detail on the work will surely blow you away: in true Gucci style.
I say, whether you ride or not, the $1250 leather riding boots are to die for! Don’t miss out on the $1500 black saddle blanket with a Gucci crest patch for your horse too!
