After successful collaborations with luxury fashion brands like Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Versace and Balmain, the world is waiting to see which is the next fashion house to join hands with the fast fashion giant. Luckily you don’t have to wait anymore, H&M has announced that their next collaboration will be with Kenzo. The French fashion house’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have created ready-to-wear collections for men and women that will hit 250 H&M stores around the globe and e-stores on the 3rd of November.
Kenzo is famous for their roaring tiger motif so we’ll be expecting it (or some version of it) on the upcoming collection. The brand has never been shy about prints or colors, so here’s hoping they bring some wild jungle prints to their line. We’re also wondering if some chic athleisure inspired pieces might make it to this collection. Kenzo has certainly nailed that trend in the past, so it would be nice to see a new spin on it.
This collaboration marks the first time that an LVHM brand has collaborated with H&M, we can only hope that this opens the door to more exciting tie ups. “I think LVMH is excited. From the get-go Carol and I did things our way. Because it’s our fifth year and because it’s working so well, they almost don’t question our out-of-the-box ideas. Because we started off out-of-the-box, it’s almost expected for us to think out-of-the-box. They’ve been so supportive of us. They are really good at looking at each creative director individually and seeing what they’re good at, and making sure they get the support they need. Of course, we brought it up to them, and they’re excited. Pierre-Yves Roussel [the chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group] has championed this from the beginning,” Humberto Leon told Vogue.
