Kenzo and H&M are offering thirsty fans glimpses of their new collaboration one piece at a time. Since news of their partnership broke, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what Kenzo’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have to offer, but the wait is agonizing with the brands revealing only one item at a time. Last week H&M revealed an image of a folksy dress that incorporates Kenzo’s dramatic prints in a shade of dark blue.
Lim and Leon said the dress was inspired by one of Kenzo founder Kenzo Takada’s creations. The collaboration will include womenswear as well as menswear and accessories. “We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of Kenzo x H&M, with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion” Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor of H&M, told British Vogue.
“With this collaboration with H&M we want to think big, push the boundaries and bring the new energy of Kenzo to everyone around the world,” Lim and Leon said.
An image of the dress was also shared by Anna of the North who models the dress. The singer is in good company as Amy Sall, Juliana Huxtable, Oko Ebomo and Isamaya French are also ambassadors for the collection. Images of them modelling KenzoxH&M looks were released in the past few weeks.
The collection will hit 250 H&M stores on November 3 and we’re betting the lines will be longer than ever!
