Is Dior coming up with a $2,000 Air Jordan 1 sneaker next year?

If you fancy sneakers with a streak of luxe, here’s some good news for you! After the smashing Prada x Adidas collaboration, stepping up to the luxury sneakers game are Dior and the Jordan Brand. The two marquees will apparently join forces to reinvent the Air Jordan 1 sneakers by the year 2020! Yes, that’s right!

Although only hearsay for now, the collaboration if through will present the Air Jordan 1s in a luxurious avatar of sorts. The limited-edition model will be manufactured in 1000 pairs alone, which will make them quite a fetch. Given the stats and the overall popularity of the Air Jordan 1 shoes, it’s no surprise then that the Dior edition of the uber-chic sneakers are slated to cost $2000 a pair.

While an official word on the collaboration is yet to be out, the design concepts for the sneakers are expected to take inspiration from the B23 Hi Top and Dior’s all-over print of its classic logo. The partnership if successful, could further make a quick $2 million USD in gross revenue for both brands! Now that’s an opportunity no business would wish to miss!

As per fleeting records, the limited Dior x Air Jordan 1 High is rumored to launch sometime in June 2020. Excited much?
