Jean Paul Gaultier designs stylish Diet Coke bottles

I personally love it when designers dare to step out of their known territories and do something different. So when I heard about Jean-Paul Gaultier’s latest creative offering, I couldn’t help but be in awe of this creative genius. One of those rare talents, who has not restricted his creativity to a specific field, has now showcased his talent through these unique Diet Coke bottles. Yes, as the creative director of Diet Coke for this year, Jean Paul Gaultier has offered two bottle designs, named ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ – which flaunt all the design elements of his famous fragrances.

The ‘Night’ bottle steals your attention with its feminine corsets design, while the ‘Day’ features Gaultier’s signature Breton stripes. These stylishly dressed beverages will be up for grabs at Harvey Nichols stores nationally from April 16. What is more, there is also a chic collector’s set – which includes a limited-edition iconic Diet Coke glass featuring a blue and white stripy motif.

Tattoo, reportedly the third offering in this line of stylish bottle designs created by Gaultier, will be unveiled later this year.
So what do you think? Has Gaultier outshined Karl Lagerfeld, who was the creative director of Diet Coke last year? Have a look at Karl’s makeover for the Coke bottles and decide for yourself.
