Karl Lagerfeld is a man on a mission. The creative genius is on a roll lending his artistic touch to new concepts and designs. The latest we hear is that the designer has teamed up with footwear brand Melissa to create capsule collections for the label over the next four seasons. The Brazil-based brand Melissa is famous for its colorful plastic jelly shoes and has teamed up with creative maestros in the past (Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gareth Pugh and model Alessandra Ambrosio to name a few) as well. The announcement of the new partnership with Lagerfeld looks to be extremely promising.
The designer who has never failed to surprise will surely create some winning creations for Melissa. The first range from this partnership is expected to debut in March. The range is expected to consist of four different autumn/winter 2013-14 styles. Sure to be a show-stopping range, fashionistas from across the globe will eagerly await this new offering.
And it’s not only the fashionistas that are excited. Sharing in the excitement of this new partnership is Paulo Pedo, CEO of Melissa, who termed the new collaboration with Lagerfeld as “one of the most exciting collaborations the company has ever seen.”
