Over the years, Louis Vuitton has given us several fragrances to rejoice with and just about now, it got hit by the Oud! The marquee recently introduced a unisex fragrance that takes inspiration from the Middle East and comes enriched with the essence of exotic Oud-wood. Called the Ombre Nomad, the eclectic scent is its first ever by the brand and is hoped to bring out a myriad of richness with it.
Powerful and sensuous, the Oud-inspired fragrance is created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. It is ‘well-layered’ as rightly touted by the maker and is mainly focused on the core materials that are meant to complement both men and women. For the making of the exotica, special agar wood is sourced from family-run plantations in Bangladesh, which is then refined into a blissful concoction of sorts. The perfume owns strong leathery, spicy and woody accents from the Oud along with rich undertones of raspberry, rose, rosat geranium and benzoin.
The Ombre Nomad comes housed in a gorgeous bottle that bears a hot-stamped label in gold-finish to perfectly complement its beauty. It is currently available in refillable, customizable bottles of 100ml (Dhs1,500) and 200ml (Dhs2,200) and 7.5ml travel set (Dhs1,500) at select boutiques in the US with a worldwide release date of Aug 4. The launch of the Ombre Nomad comes alongside that of LV’s newest fragrance line for men that was introduced earlier this year.
