What happens to a fashion brand when they have been there and do almost everything? They start experimenting with being known as a brand that can take a few calculated risks. One such brand is Louis Vuitton, as they pair up with Parsons for a competition called, “Reconstruction 2.0,” wherein Parsons Students create new garments on a specific theme using the LV archives. For year two of the gala event, the six groups of four-teamed students had to create any clothing out of Vuitton samples that personified travel. The teams were put up at three distinct locations – the Vuitton SoHo store and the Parsons’ buildings 13th and 40th streets, to keep them in the public eye but away from the fashion process.
