Mattel celebrates ‘May the Fourth’ with $100 Limited edition Star Wars themed Barbie dolls

Last year, Mattel and Disney joined forces to release Star-Wars themed Barbie dolls to celebrate the release of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. This year, they are back to celebrate Star Wars Day on 4th May. Mattel and Hasbro are saluting Star Wars Day by offering four limited-edition Barbie’s and a Baby Yoda version of the Monopoly board game. In this round of sci-fi Barbie’s, the dolls are modeled after Rey, C-3PO, Chewbacca, and a Stormtrooper. The Rey doll dons a crystal pleated chiffon gown, a draped hood, and stylish ombré boots that transition into leggings. The C-3PO doll is a unanimous favorite with a sparkling golden exterior. She dazzles in a golden, sequined dress with matching tall boots, big hair, and glasses. As expected, the Chewbacca doll goes all out with a head-to-toe faux fur look. Seen on her are matching fur coat and strapless dress along with a fur handbag and coordinated knee-high boots. The Stormtrooper doll is ultra-chic with a blonde bob and looks sassy in her oversized sunglasses and a white armor-inspired dress and boots.

If your Barbie doll days are over and you need something that’s more engaging then the limited-edition Baby Yoda Monopoly set inspired by the popular Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” is the right pick for you. The limited-edition set is available for pre-order for $20 on the Hasbro website and at Target and Gamestop. The Star Wars-inspired dolls cost $100 except for the Chewbacca doll, which has a $150 price tag.
