Mulberry creates an exclusive capsule collection of its iconic designs in canvas for e-retailer Mr.Porter

When you take the leather out of The Clipper and replace it with canvas, what do you get? Mulberry and MR PORTER! I’m talking about the collaboration between the British bag maker and the online retailer that has led to a reworking of the former’s iconic designs including the Elkington and Brynmore styles resulting in ravishing canvas carryables.

“We are delighted to be working with MR PORTER on exclusive versions of our iconic styles,” says Mr Nick Roberts, Mulberry’s managing director for Europe. “Reinterpreting the Clipper, Brynmore and Elkington models in canvas adds a modern flourish, while retaining the elements expected in any Mulberry products: classic design, craftsmanship and hardware.”

The limited edition collection sees color and material combinations never used before by Mulberry. Below are a few examples of their tryst with exclusive online luxury. All the items are available for purchase from

The Clipper Holdall
This lighter and durable sibling of the erstwhile leather variant redefines “muted” in dove grey with contrasting brown leather details. Touted as the perfect fixture to an Aston Martin trunk, this versatile version is available for a handsome $1,780 sum.

The Small Clipper Holdall
This more compact cousin of the Clipper is again constructed from hardwearing canvas, albeit in a winsome mid-blue. Its vivid and sophisticated color is trimmed with resilient leather and befitted with a size ideal for carry-on luggage making it the ultimate $1,600 blue buy for stylish jet setters.
