Trust Ralph Lauren to give you a chic, luxurious bag that is technologically advanced too. No longer do you need to be rummaging for things that miraculously seem to get lost in your hand bag, nor worry about your mobile running out of battery. Ralph Lauren launches a variation on its Ricky bag which features an in built USB charger and four discreet LED lights that come on as soon as the flap of the bag is opened. This bag has been in the development stages for about eight months and is handmade in Italy from smooth and specially selected calf skin. Each bag takes 12 hours to create and is composed of leather and rose gold hardware with the Ralph Lauren logo and a contrasting purple lining in the bag. This classic and timeless bag is named after Lauren’s wife.
The bag will debut on limited release during the festive season, with just 10 Ralph Lauren stores keeping samples available for order and then will go for wider distribution from February. The regular Ricky bag was priced at $3,500 and this one with the added attractions is priced for $ 5,000. Should the light or mobile charger need to be recharged one trip to a Ralph Laurent store and you are set once again. Wonder what Ralph Lauren has up his sleeve next.
