Gucci is going floral this season. Floral, with a rich combination of Oriental history, and just in time for spring. Gucci Tian collection has just added a line of shoes, to add to its apparel range. The Tian design features flowers, insects, and birds on a background of Gucci’s famous ‘Gs’. The Tian print is inspired from landscapes of China depicted in 18th century tapestries. The shoes, featuring five different styles, come with a thick white sole, and red shoe laces. For shoes without the need for laces, like the slip-on sneakers, the mouth of the shoes is lined with red fabric.
It is attractive, and also looks comfortable. But it’s Gucci so it will not come cheap. The slip-on sneakers cost $550. This is not the first time that Gucci has taken inspiration from social studies. Time will tell how this latest design will trend.
