Italian fashion honcho, Moschino recently unveiled their latest addition to their fragrance line. I’m certain like most of us, you too were expecting the Eau de Parfum too be nothing different from the customary glass bottles. However, the 1.7 fl. Oz. perfume bottle is well embedded within a small teddy bear.
The stuffed animal is wearing a t-shirt that says “this is not a Moschino toy,” and the bottle’s spray top can be accessed by pulling off the bear’s head. “Toy,” the new fragrance, has only been on the shelves for a day has already been sold out online. Of course given its unconventional packaging, the fragrance is sure to grab eyeballs. The fragrance comes in a box that bears resemblance to the plastic packages of toys you usually spot in a toy store.
Jeremy Scott, the creative director of Moschino, will be at Harrods on Thursday to celebrate the launch of the fragrance. All though the fragrance is sold out online, it will be sold at Harrods. The first 120 consumers to purchase the bear will get a chance to meet with Mr. Scott at the department store.
This is not the debut of an unconventional designer inspired toy hitting consumer shelves. The limited-edition Lagerfield-inspired Barbie doll popped up at runway shows during Paris Fashion Week creating a buzz amongst fashion enthusiasts.
