In the world of stylish travel, Louis Vuitton is usually the classic go-to brand for luggage, but these days other brands are offering their own takes on baggage that are chic enough to have you trade in your monogrammed favorites. The new luggage collection from Globe Trotter and Alexander McQueen is especially tempting with its black exterior coupled with some rock-and-roll studs.
The collection includes just two suitcases, but each piece is striking and unusual enough to capture your fancy.
Globetrotter’s 13” mini utility case and the 21” trolley case are given a total makeover thanks to the addition of all-over studs that extend to the leather straps.
The cases are lined with black fabric printed with McQueen’s popular skull motif.
A silver skull padlock on a black leather strap that wraps around the trolley’s body provides additional security.
The smaller suitcases feature a convenient cross-body strap.
This limited-edition collection is made in England and can be purchased online. The 13” mini utility case is priced at $1,415, while the 21” trolley case costs $3,295. The collection promises to be lightweight but durable thanks to its vulcanized fiberboard and leather corners.
