‘Time for a female president’, says designer Karl Lagerfeld

Everyone has an opinion about the American elections and more importantly the presidential candidates. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld sure seems to know his choice of presidential candidate – giving his vote to Hillary Clinton, but for rather different reasons.

“There’s nobody else to support anyway,” he was quoted saying to Associated Press when asked about why he was supporting Clinton.

“I think with the first black president, what they need now is the first woman president. That has to change too.” He added, “I like the idea. It’s Women’s Day every day.”

Clinton seems to be the favorite in the fashion circles with Anna Wintour showing her support by wearing a t-shirt in support of the presidential candidate. Other designers like Marc Jacobs, Public School’s Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, and Tory Burch also showed their support with t-shirts created in support of Clinton’s campaign.
