Versace unveils limited-edition capsule collection in honor of Pride month

To virtually celebrate Pride month and extend support to the LGBTQ community, Versace recently launched the Versace X Pride 2020 collection – a limited-edition capsule that aims at celebrating diversity and queer in full glory.

A mixed-bag of summer-essentials, the ensemble includes tank tops, boxer shorts, and sports socks adorned with a pop of color and shine. The collection further features a range of activewear and underwear, accessories, and even swimwear, bucket hats, and slides for both men and women. The remaining pieces flaunt a Versace staple and come in an all-black avatar stamped with the brand logo in rainbow hues.

Part of the proceeds from U.S. sales of the Versace x Pride 2020 collection will be donated to Pride Live whereas an unspecified sum from the European sales will go to Arcigay, an Italian organization that works towards combating violence against the LGBTQ community.

Commenting on the brand’s support towards the LGBTQ communities, Donatella in a statement back in June last year had said, “I have always been a strong advocate and supporter of LGBTQ+ rights,” She had further added, “I believe that no one should be judged for his or her sexual orientation, but also for the color of their skin or their religious belief. We all need to voice our concern so that everyone can stop living in fear and is free to be whoever they want to be.”

The Versace X Pride 2020 collection is currently available online on the brand’s official website.
