In a recent survey held by BrandZ – Louis Vuitton stood out with a net worth of $47.2 billion and over a 15% growth in value from last year.
As stated by BrandZ, the recent spike in the luxury market is attributable to attributed to luxury brands catering to both older, traditional customers who desire to be associated with the luxury market’s comprehensive and youthful essence, as well as younger customers who want to involve and evolve with the luxury brand. It also pointed out that Louis Vuitton’s continued success can mainly be owed to its signature leather goods and unrivaled creativity range in terms of product categories.
Alongside Louis Vuitton, other French brands to make it to BrandZ’s list of the most valuable luxury names include Chanel ranking number two ($37 billion) and Hermès number three ($31 billion). In terms of growth, Yves Saint Laurent scored top spot with a recorded 45 percent growth in value at $3.6 billion with Dior ranking next at a 29 percent increase. Cartier, Burberry, Rolex and Prada also rocked the list with their respectively massive net worth’s.
