Philippe Starck’s Light Photon OLED Lamps to light up in green style

With the amount of energy crisis growing globally, the need for smarter light fixtures is the need of the hour. One such fixture is the Light Photon from the Italian makers Flos that first surfaced at the Milan Salone del Mobile. Designed by Philippe Starck, the fixtures have been made with 316L stainless steel, glass plates, and OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diodes). OLEDs are not just energy saving but can also be easily recycled. You can turn the lights on or off using the small cross placed on the metal base. You can also dim the lights by keeping your finger over the cross for a few seconds. The Light Photon Lamp is priced at $5,900 apiece. Since mass production has not begun yet, 12-14 weeks is required to deliver the ordered product.
