Balenciaga has unveiled a new case for the iPhone and it looks like a toolbox

If you own the Apple iPhone 12 or 12 Pro and are big on accessories, this one’s for you! In catering to the tech giant’s fans, fashion house Balenciaga has recently introduced an unusual case that is modeled after a toolbox. Yes, that’s right!

Coming with massive, protruding elements and even screws, the accessory is awe-inspiring and rigid in appearance. It is made from recycled plastic and finished in a matte black hue and further features a design that adds strategically placed grooves and block sections to make the phone easier to hold in hand.

The luxe accessory is further embellished with the “BB” and “Balenciaga” branding in the center of the case, along with six screws — placed at the top, middle, and bottom, respectively. Talk about nailing the design brief to the tee!
To use it, iPhone owners will first need to unscrew the cover (with a small, branded screwdriver), place the smartphone in, and then screw it back. Aesthetically interesting, the Balenciaga case is made in Italy and is currently available for sale online (on the brand’s official website) for $395.
