It isn’t long before Apple introduced us to the concept of wireless earphones. Post the launch of AirPods, manufacturers across the globe have tried to emulate them with little or no success. Recently though, Bang & Olufsen did their own little take on Apple’s wireless wonder with Beoplay E8 – the brand’s very first wireless earbuds. Sitting in a chic black (and gray) color, the E8 looks prepared to outdo the AirPods in every possible way and we cannot help but think otherwise!
Unveiled at the IFA electronics show in Berlin, the Beoplay E8 instantly swoop us over with its funky features and unrivaled tech-upgrade. Though slightly bulkier than its counterparts, the earplugs feature a pair of 5.7 mm dynamic drivers, a respectable frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and a battery life that topples over four hours. Most functions such as switching tracks and answering calls can be controlled by simply tapping onto the earplugs, thus leading to lesser hassles.
Another unique feature in the Beoplay is the Transparency mode that allows users to let in and control outside sound as and when they need to hear the world around them. The Bang & Olufsen B8 set (complete with a premium leather charging case, five ear tips and charging cable in Black and Charcoal Sand) retails at $299 and is expected to hit shelves on October 12.
