Each December in Miami, The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) runs a renowned art fair to explore underexposed or emerging contemporary art. For the 12th edition of the fair, Beats by Dr. Dre has teamed up with San Francisco-based artist Barry McGee to create a new, limited edition Beats Pill portable speaker, featuring one of the artist’s caricature of an urban cartoon character smoking a joint. For the artwork, Barry McGee says he found his inspiration from the ‘weed culture’.
The Beats and Barry McGee Special Edition Pill will be sold during the fair when it opens its doors to fairgoers from all over the world on December 4 through 7 at the Deauville Beach Resort.
The Beats Pill is a lightweight, portable and wireless speaker that lets you bring the music wherever you go. Small enough to fit in your hand, the Beats Pill speaker produces powerful sound with soaring highs and deep bass.
