LG’s 105-inch curved UHD TV up for pre-order now in South Korea for $117,000

Just a couple of days back, Samsung had announced that it has started accepting pre-orders for its flagship 105-inch curved UHDTV which is priced at a whopping $120,000. Till that time LG was yet to announce the pricing and availability of its own 105-inch curved UHD TV; but it’s not possible that the South Korean consumer electronics giant let its fiercest rival edge ahead in the competition without a showdown. Now LG has put its massive curved 105-inch Ultra HD television up for pre-order in South Korea, and promises that it’ll be available to buyers in other locations this coming fourth quarter. And it’s a couple of grand cheaper than the Samsung’s model. The international pricing is yet to be announced but in Korea it’s priced at 120 million won ($117,000 approximately) and will start shipping in just a few days.

The LG 105-inch curved UHDTV which is also known as the model number 105UC9 TV features a whopping resolution of more than 11 million pixels (5,120 x 2,160) as well as a CinemaScope 21:9 aspect ratio. The TV promises of ‘lifelike images’ thanks to LG’s True 4K Engine Pro and IPS 4K Panel both at work to offer extremely immersive viewer experience. To top it all, the TV comes with a 7.2 channel/150watt integrated sound system which has been by Harman Kardon. The end product is said to be “a sonic performance worthy of an actual movie theater.”
